Katalysst is a folk rock duo formed by Kat and Alyssa, who met at a music festival in 2019 and started writing music together the following year. Kat brings classical vocal training and acoustic guitar, while Alyssa contributes the songwriting and self-taught electric bass. Their sound blends melodic arrangements with lyrics about real-world social and economic issues (plus the occasional love song). The result is music that feels both timeless and very much of the moment.
